Countinueing with the Biltema pump, I decided to mount a propeller on it. I use use the trick for making centered holes in a rod mentioned in an earlier blog post. There are seveal photos describe most of the steps in making the propeller mount. The shaft of the Biltema pump is about 2 mm. A 2 mm will not do, as the hole will then be to tight. However the next size drill I have is 2.5 mm, so quite a large jump. So the propeller mount will not sit so snugly on the shaft as one might wish.
The grub screw used is M3. The selection of grub screws on Ebay is a little poor at the time of writing this, but I found this shop in England. I've not used them yet, but it seems to have ok prices. For propellers and such a nice place to get the parts is from Cornwall Model Boats.
Here is a video of the motor running underwater. As you can see, the propeller shaft is not totally straight.
